PESTICIDE CONCERNS

Do you have questions regarding any pesticides you are using on yourself, your kids, or your pets? Do you know what pesticides are being applied to your lawn? To your neighbor’s lawn? Well there are plenty of answers provided by the National Pesticide Information Center, a cooperative effort between Oregon State University and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. You can call toll-free at 1-800-858-7378 from 6:30am to 4:30pm PST, 7 days a week, or visit them on the web at npic.orst.edu.

It is a good idea to have the product in front of you when you call. That way you can use the EPA number on the product to access specific information on the ingredients in the product. The staff at the NPIC will help you assess toxicity risks, explore possible alternatives, and obtain general information on pesticide regulations.
